Think of micro-needling as an invitation for your skin to regenerate. As the tiny needles create controlled micro-injuries, your skin responds by producing more collagen and elastin. But to do this efficiently and safely, your skin needs to be in a strong, resilient state beforehand. Prepping with Vitamins A, B, and C helps ensure your skin is:
Healthy and well-nourished
Resilient enough to recover quickly
Equipped to build better-quality collagen
At The Treatment Centre, we never take a “just show up” approach to advanced treatments. We build skin strength in the weeks leading up to needling so the results are faster, deeper, and longer-lasting.
What it does:
Boosts collagen and elastin production
Normalises cell turnover
Reduces pigmentation and acne
Prepares the skin to respond more efficiently to needling
Why it matters pre-needling:
Topical Vitamin A enhances your skin’s repair response. It builds dermal density and makes the skin more receptive to stimulation. We typically recommend introducing it 2–4 weeks before your first treatment (if not already in your routine), and pausing 3–5 days before your session.
What it does:
Strengthens the skin barrier
Reduces inflammation and redness
Regulates oil flow
Improves hydration
Why it matters pre- and post-needling:
Vitamin B helps the skin recover faster by calming inflammation and supporting the lipid barrier. It’s essential during the healing phase, but also incredibly important in the lead-up to reduce the risk of post-inflammatory flare-ups.
What it does:
Stimulates collagen synthesis
Fades pigmentation and evens tone
Provides antioxidant protection
Supports wound healing
Why it matters pre-needling:
Vitamin C preps the skin by reducing oxidative stress and stimulating fibroblast activity (collagen-producing cells). Used consistently in the lead-up, it helps improve post-needling results in terms of skin tone, firmness, and radiance.
At The Treatment Centre, we guide you through a skin conditioning plan before any needling session:
4 weeks before: Start with Vitamin C and B daily. Introduce Vitamin A if skin is tolerant.
1 week before: Ensure skin is hydrated and calm. Avoid exfoliants and aggressive actives.
3–5 days before: Pause Vitamin A to avoid sensitivity during treatment.
We don’t believe in one-size-fits-all skin needling. Book a Skin Health Discovery Session at The Treatment Centre and let us assess your skin, lifestyle, and goals. We’ll map out your prep, treatment, and recovery plan using the powerhouse vitamin trio — so every needle counts.
