Your Radio Frequency Needling Treatment

RF Skin Needling is an advanced treatment combining microneedling with radiofrequency energy to tackle pigmentation and sun damage.

Ultra-fine needles create micro-injuries, stimulating collagen and elastin production, while RF energy heats deeper skin layers, promoting tightening and rejuvenation.

Why This Treatment Works

RF Skin Needling is highly effective due to its dual-action approach, combining microneedling and radiofrequency energy. The ultra-fine needles create controlled micro-injuries, triggering the body’s natural healing response and stimulating collagen, elastin and Hyaluronic acid production.

Simultaneously, RF energy heats the deeper skin layers, enhancing skin tightening and rejuvenation. This combination not only breaks down excess melanin clusters, reducing pigmentation and dark spots, but also promotes the regeneration of healthy skin cells, improving overall skin texture, tone, and firmness.

The result is a more even, radiant complexion with long-lasting benefits.

Your Treatment Experience

We begin with a double cleanse of the skin to remove all dirt, grime, and oils, followed by a sanitiser to prepare your skin for the needling device.

To aid recovery, LED light therapy is applied first to reduce downtime post-treatment. The procedure uses fine needles to create micro-injuries in the skin, followed by the application of RF energy. This dual action promotes deeper penetration and significant improvements in skin texture and tone.

Most clients experience mild redness and swelling, which typically subsides within a few days.

Is This Right for You

RF Skin Needling is ideal for those looking to address pigmentation issues like hyperpigmentation, sun spots, melasma, and age spots, as well as sun damage, fine lines, and rough texture. It is perfect for those seeking a smoother, more even complexion.

However, this treatment is not suitable for those who are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Social Downtime

Redness will be apparent on most skins and can last up to 72hours on some skins. Mineral make up can be worn from the next day.

What is Social Downtime?

Downtime is a term that refers to the time needed to recover from a procedure.

Our treatments have no downtime but may involve some social downtime. Social downtime does not require making any major changes to your day-to-day activities, however you may prefer to avoid social settings during this time for cosmetic reasons (such as redness or swelling).

What can you expect?

Immediate Skin Changes

The day of your treatment, you may experience redness and a tingling sensation under the skin. This is normal and indicates the treatment is working.

In the days following, you might notice small pin-prick marks where the needles were, along with sensitivity, tightness, and a dry feel.

These reactions are expected and signify that your skin is beginning the repair process by producing collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic acid.

This is a natural part of healing and leads to the rejuvenation and improvement of your skin’s texture and tone.

Long-Term Improvements

RF Skin Needling offers substantial long-term benefits for pigmentation and sun damage.

By promoting enhanced collagen production, it leads to a more even skin tone and improved texture. Over time, you’ll notice a reduction in dark spots, hyperpigmentation, and sun damage, resulting in brighter and healthier skin.

These treatments are most effective when done as a series, with results compounding to continually enhance your skin’s repair and maintenance capabilities, leading to sustained improvements in overall skin health and appearance.

What to Do Before Your Treatment

Is your skin ready? Not everyone's skin is ready for advanced treatments such as this. Your therapist may recommend prior treatments to build your skins' barrier - Generally this means even better results!

Sensitivity is individual:

While we strive to ensure that our treatments are as comfortable as possible, we understand that each individual has different sensitivities. If you feel that you might benefit from using a numbing cream prior to your appointment, we recommend the brand "Numb It".

Applying this cream about 30-45 minutes before your treatment can help minimise any discomfort. Please follow the product's instructions carefully for the best results.

Avoid Exfoliating Products: Stop using exfoliating products, including scrubs, retinoids/Vitamin A, and glycolic acid, at least 4-5 days before the Treatment to avoid irritation

Avoid Strenuous Exercise: In the 4-6 hours prior to your treatment.

Drink Water: Ensure you are drinking plenty of water to maintain skin hydration from the inside.

Avoid Sun Exposure: Minimise sun exposure and avoid tanning beds for at least a week before the treatment.

Stop Waxing and Hair Removal: Avoid waxing, threading, or using depilatory creams on the treatment area at least a week before the treatment.

Caring for Your Skin Post-Treatment

1. Hydration and Moisturisation

Use Gentle Moisturisers: Keep your skin well-hydrated with a gentle, hydrating moisturiser. We will recommend products that contain soothing ingredients like aloe vera, hyaluronic acid, and chamomile.

Drink Water: Maintain internal hydration by drinking plenty of water throughout the day.

2. Sun Protection

Avoid Sun Exposure: Stay out of direct sunlight as much as possible. Your skin will be more sensitive to UV rays after the peel.

Use Sunscreen: Apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen with at least SPF 30 daily. Reapply every two hours if you’re outside for extended periods.

3. Gentle Skincare Routine

Cleanse Gently: Use a mild, non-abrasive cleanser to clean your face twice a day. Avoid scrubbing your skin.

Avoid Exfoliating: Steer clear of products containing retinoids, alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs), beta hydroxy acids (BHAs), and any other exfoliants for minimum of 3 days.

5. Avoid Heat and Sweating

Stay Cool: Avoid activities that cause excessive sweating, such as heavy workouts, saunas, and hot showers, as heat can irritate your skin post-peel.

6. Follow Your Therapists Advice

Adhere to Instructions: Follow any specific post-care instructions provided by your skin therapist. They will provide tailored advice based on your skin’s response to the treatment.

By following these steps, you can enhance the results of your RF Skin Needling treatment, promoting healthy, radiant skin.
